1. Inspection, Testing & PreparationEvery rug begins with a thorough assessment. We identify the rug's fibre type, assess its condition and carry out colour-fastness testing where required. This allows us to select the most appropriate cleaning solutions and methods for the rug, ensuring the safest and most effective clean. The rug is then prepared for cleaning, with the pile groomed to help loosen embedded debris and open the fibres for the next stage of the process. | |
2. Advanced Dry Soil RemovalOne of the most important stages of our cleaning process takes place before any washing begins. Using specialised dust-removal equipment, we remove dry soil, grit and fine particulate matter trapped deep within the rug. This helps achieve a deeper clean and reduces unnecessary wear on the fibres during washing. | |
3. Deep Immersion WashingOnce preparation is complete, the rug enters our immersion washing system. Using carefully selected cleaning solutions matched to the rug's fibre type, the rug is washed using specialised equipment featuring three counter-rotating brushes. This process gently agitates the fibres from multiple directions to help remove embedded dirt, contaminants and residues throughout the pile. | |
4. Fresh-Water RinsingAfter washing, the rug is thoroughly rinsed with fresh water to remove loosened soil and any remaining cleaning solution, leaving the fibres clean and refreshed. | |
5. Moisture Removal & Controlled DryingExcess moisture is extracted using our computerised rug centrifuge, which removes a significant amount of water before drying begins. The rug is then transferred to our temperature-controlled drying room, where air movers and dehumidification systems work together to accelerate drying while helping to protect the rug's fibres and structure. | |
6. Final Inspection & DetailingBefore delivery, every rug undergoes a final quality inspection. The rug is groomed, detailed and carefully checked to ensure it meets our standards before being prepared for return to your home. |
